To love a place is not enough. We must find ways to heal it.

The Little Free Greenhouse set up against the trailhead for Chestnut Ridge Trail.

Little Free Greenhouse

The Little Free Greenhouse is just like it sounds - a tiny greenhouse filled with free plants for our community/neighborhood!

Plants are restocked on Wednesday each week between May 15th to October 31st.

Why does it say “Fresh Eggs”?

Well, that’s because it was donated by a wonderful community member who used the structure to sell eggs. Her daughter painted it by hand and we just love the look, so we’re keeping it for now.

How does it work?

Neighbors drop off plants, seeds, or small garden tools that are ready to be welcomed into a new home or garden. Simply drop off a plant or pick one up. Please take what you need and leave some for other visitors.

What’s the deal with the stamp?

The Little Free Greenhouse is part of the Ripley Convention and Visitors Bureau Agri-Tourism Trail. Be sure to stamp your passport when you visit if you find us this way and visit our friends at the Chestnut Ridge Winery for an additional stamp. Be sure to take a stroll on the Phil Holcomb Botanical Walking Trail before you depart!

Who can we contact about the Little Free Greenhouse?
